Memorial Day is about 10 days away and there are plenty of things to do around town for the holiday.

First, take a look at my post earlier this week about the “Red, White and Brass: American Salute” at Newman Center for the Performing Arts at the University of Denver, May 28 – 29. If that isn’t the best option for you there are plenty of other things to do around town.  

My next option is to go to Elitch Gardens who will host fireworks for Memorial Day on May 29.

Also, Elitch Gardens just opened their Water Park for the season. Come out and enjoy a full day of wet ‘n wild fun including the ride Splashdown, which is a 75-foot long twist raft ride. Also, Edge is a fun 42-foot drop down massive slide.
